FEOS vs. MSO- Luv
 |
 |
A Level Non Zero release with the catalogue number 23 – who
woudn’t expect a conspirational track? And indeed:
After legendary release „Futher & Further“ (LNZ05)
the secret house society leaders Pascal FEOS & Heiko
MSO (Klang Elektronik / Playhouse) once again met for a conspirational
studio session to dominate the clubbing world with an extraordinary
production.
The result is named LUV and sounds like the essence of the
essence of minimal house music neatly stretched out to 11 minutes
running time. Cladestinely they’ve implemented classical
Chicago Jack elements in a modern lunar probe to irridate mother
earth with an eternal stream of love. Adequate gravitation-free
the sound comes across as a gauze of warm bassy clouds, funky
finger clicks, sustain violin strings and paradisiac LUV female
vocals. After a long ethereal break the track speeds up again
smoothly and reveals a subtile glowing sound of the TB-303.
LUV is the perfect example of rarely produced tracks that give
you the feeling of oustanding full-embracement. |

Chris Wood & Frank Leicher - Two Of Three EP
 |
 |
After their first and all over Germany well acclaimed
Deep House production „Geisha“, released on the
limited LNZ 20 edition, Chris Wood and Frank Leicher now
come up with a complete 3-tracker. With this accordingly
titled „Two Of Three“ EP the young team exeeds
all expectations.
Already the first track „Into The Jungle“ with
almost 9 minutes of play time captures the listener into a
new simension of breathless House tribalism. Be ear witness
how Wood and Leicher Voodoo priest alike stich their percussive
elements into the body of party puppet to make the will-less
audience dance to the point of ecstasy. And now we all know:
the haitian jungle begins right behind the city limit of Frankfurt/Main:
dark, atmospheric, sultry, full of vivid sounding dangers and
the abstract hoots of LNZ serviles on the warpath.
The second track „No Way Back“ is also phenomenous
ritualistic, but more freewheeling due to the percussions and
bouncing 808-kick completed by roomy reverbs and delays.but
also a demonic vocal sample that makes clear: There’s
no way back to the safety of the base camp. The final EP track „I
Feel The Night“ is masterpiece of housy minimalism with
brilliant plucking bass sounds and sunny latin american impetus. |

Pascal FEOS - Generator Child
 |
 |
FFM’s premium label for deep & minimal sounds
qualitative high above standard dance stuff is back from
the summer break. Traditionally LNZ mastermind Pascal FEOS
himself lights the LNZ release oven and adds his label cataloque
with two endurance track runners.
It may surprise, how airly the runner with starting number
1 floats through the colourful wood of golden October, cheered
on by Moogy mild hookline that strokes the drum body. From
time to time the race track passes some clearings, the chilling
atmosphere of Pascal FEOS’ side-project Aural Float
waves at the horizon. But then he trots on and on embraced
by the feeling of runner’s high.
With the racing number 2 the “Generator Child” starts
athletic but thoughtful on his Tom Tom-dymanic soles, more
and more leading into an 808-hypnotic run on black asphalt.
A “Generator Child” speech sample trails off
in the dusk and an LFO-spiralled veil of mist twirls over
the head of the scared kid. This is what LNZ calls an ingenious
ghosty cut for dancers. |

FEOS / Wood vs. Leicher
| |
 |
After the big hit „Rezolution“, Level Non
Zero presents the next limited edition.
On the a side Pascal FEOS shows us his feeling of an „Endless
Summer“ with an grooving and hypnotizing touch.
On the flip Chris Wood and Frank Leicher created a deep
house tune with an amazing flute – break.
Both will fit perfectly in every afterhour set !

D- Diggler - Drehomoment
 |
 |
"D. Diggler" aka Andreas Mügge is back
! This time not on Planet Vision but on Pascals new label:
Level Non Zero.
Blessed with a father who is a jazz musician, Andreas started
to play the drums at the tender age of twelve, and joined his
father in his jazz combo. Soon he realized that his future
is not to play in a band but to make his musical ideas become
reality through the necessary MIDI equipment. His first release
for raum...musik "Boogiemonster" hit several DJ charts,
club charts and was played in heavy rotation on HR 3 XXL. So
did the following releases. D.Diggler`s first album was released
in April 2000 on CD and vinyl, its sound range varying from
deep to technoid-slamming. Since then he can look back on 45
releases and 20 remixes and is a dj + liveact who playes in
the first league.
On Level Non Zero he shows us with three new traxs his variety:
from „hypno-techno“ (Drehmoment), over deep tech-house
(Deepdown), to dub-house (Control).
We remember the old Raum...Musik – times.... |

Fresh Fried - Dessert
 |
 |
No more than a year ago formed, but in most Tech House
temples already known like Paul Bocuse in cockaigne. Before
the first record 50 WAYS (LNZ 011) was released no one would
have guessed that FRESH FRIED could achieve such a big success.
And only a few weeks after putting out the awesome second
12 inch MADNESS (LNZ15) Chris Wood, Nedzad Berovic and Frank
Leicher return to serve their third musical création à la
Minimal Maison, which is also the dessert from their debut
album THE MENUE (LNZ17). In best delicious tradition of the
well known Frankfurt Tech House label Level Non Zero, INSTANT
SOUP also takes ten minutes to develop its full flavour.
Beginning with the macerating of the zesty 808 basis including
flangered bass and digitally preserved rim sounds, the chef
heads increase the heat, add some crisp filtered vocal croutons
and bring it to the scalding maximum after six minutes.
On the flip FRESH FRIED mate MATT STAR demonstrates impressively
how to create a mild tangy variation with click-groovy accentuation
just by changing the ratio of the condiments

Fresh Fried - The Menu
  |
 |
Too many cooks spoil the broth? Definetly not if three
masters of LNZ´s Minimal style Cuisine prepare their
very special synthie molecular meals. Tabled piping hot from
a secret kitchen located somewhere in the concrete heart
of Frankfurt/Main, FRESH FRIED finally come up with their
debut album THE MENUE. The young project consisting of the
producers Chris Wood, Nedzad Berovic and Frank Leicher already
took the DJ playlists of named Tech House DJs by storm – not
only in Germany and Central Europe-wide, but also in the
States, Russia and even Japan. Certainly it would have been
easy to put all tracks of the recent 12-inches 50 WAYS and
MADNESS on album to guarantee a second success for LNZ. But
FRESH FRIED would not call themselves FRESH FRIED if everything
wouldn’t be totally new.
Already the opening meal of the eight-course-menu called
INSTANT SOUP is a good example for what the head chef team
is able to put on our plates: A scalding hot groove enjoyment
in 808-creamy consistency with crisp Vocal sample croutons
blowing the lid off the pot. And as you can tell from the
note “Album Version” this hypnotic highlight
is also available as a 12 inch vinyl version including superb
deep remix from Matt Star (Mainrecords, Weavemusic) on the
flip.
As second meal the German guys serve very sensational nutritious
Microhouse food with HEART OF PALM; a track that professionally
peels the core of the minimal music and touches the clubber
to the quick due to the freak funky finesse.
Followed by a Sushi role filled with sticky synthetic rice
and named MAKI that gets its spicy flavour from a FRESH FRIED
home-made Flanger-wasabi.
Next is a unique aromatic mellow Lounge pastry titled FOIE
GRAS, and when you come up to track five, don’t expect
to spit, because unlike other debut albums THE MENUE has
a some more delectabilities to dish up. Why not knibbling
off the Electro hot sawtooth creaky FROG LEGS with female
vocals à la Parisienne? Or trying BURNT ORANGE which
is a pure, to the bitter-sweet fruit essence reduced Tech
House experience?
And before THE MENUE finishes with the mysterious, reverb
dubby downwards running kickshaw LIQUID CHOCOLATE, the producer
team presents a giant pen of CHILI with round dancing colourful
bongo beans to fill our muscles with percussive proteins.
So Wood, Berovic & Leicher really made it and present
a debut album that turns on, deeply satisfies but never stuffs. |

LNZ 16 Sascha Ciccopiedi -
Sturmliebe
 |
 |
Welcome – the Level Non Zero year 2008 has just begun.
And immediately comes up with formation of giant dark clouds,
gathering over Germany’s Techno metropolis FFM. The Beaufort
scale shows wind force 12, which means that we’ve entered
a dangerous area with extremely low pressure and low frequency
squalls. In his title track STURMLIEBE (Storm Lover) German
LNZ-Newcomer Sascha Ciccopiedi condenses an 808 driven atmosphere
to a mysterious thunder rolling nightmare, chasing your soul
for more than seven minutes. Reigning in his Olympus like godfather
Zeus, Ciccopiedi sends out ominous basslines, windy bended
synth tones and walls of pink noise down to all clublands on
our planet earth. But, in contrast to normal life, when the
gale comes up no clubber tends to scream “Every man for
himself!” Instead he storms the dancefloor to be hit
by the musical flashlight of Sascha Ciccopiedi. This must be
true storm love! The AA track THE DRIVE offers a nearly similar
bunch of ultra crispy sounds, but leads more into a refreshing,
House percussive direction. See how former furious Zeus now
lolls smiling on this throne, asking Apollon for sunrays to
create a rainbow effect. With the release of this record LNZ
gets more and more close to his philosophical core: Minimal
sounding on the one hand, but still extremely body-activating
on the other. |

LNZ 15. Fresh Fried -
Madness
 |
 |
My goodness, how it steams and sizzles again! Already known
from the LNZ 11 (50 WAYS), the German first rate cooks Wood,
Berovic & Leicher aka FRESH FRIED serve an exclusive electronic
feast once more.
The title track MADNESS impresses as a crunchy cool Minimal
House Chop Suey, finely seasoned in every synth sounding way
and thanks to genius shuffled percussion elements very unique
Tom Tom-tribal tasting. Modern exotic and extra spicy!
LNZ typical the complete flip-side can be considered as equal
culinary. Also added with a pinch of percussion THE WAVE melts
in your mouth like a tender filet: Including a seared punchy
outside and rare groovy inside, intensely flavoured with a
mellow Cymbal sound that draws through the track like a fine
white fat vein through a Kobe beef.
The ultra deep DOWN BELOW as a result of very special 808 recipe
constitutes the dessert menue: Atmospherically whipped Mousse
au Chocolat with large percentage of dark, strong cacao – dance
gourmand, what more do you want? |

LNZ 04-2. Details -
Labelcompilation
 |
 |
Label-Compilation (1st Edition!)
Are you triskaidekaphobic? Then we have an audio drug to
heal your fear disorder. It’s called "Details".
And consists of 13 in the mix tracks, released by a Frankfurt
label established three years ago to leave a very own mark
on the Deep & Minimal House genre. With a bow before
the historical achievements of the golden Chicago Jack and
Detroit Tech innovators, but not that low that it could limit
the own mobility. And a far cry from common ice cold, free
of emotion minimal click sound dictates. To create warm,
atmospheric but also bass driven energetic structures was
main target right from the beginning instead. Something that
really deserves the title LEVEL NON ZERO with non gravity
music high above average tracks and average record labels.
Music that can’t reveal the full impact when dropping
the needle on it just for a second or pre-listened as low
resolution online-file.
Starting off with the debut 12-inch DESIRE in 2004 and 14
releases later the imprint conducted by Pascal FEOS and his
partner Chris Wood already has made it. And, thanks to optimal
nourish and cherish, grew from a rare plantlet to a strong,
fine-branched tree.
This CD is the first LNZ mix compilation ever and displays
some of the most requested highlights and other terrific
musical moments in the young label history. With tracks that
can be compared to the behaviour of a octopus in the deep
blue: At first slowly approaching, then embracing you cosy
with all of its eight tentacles, suddenly adhering and pulling
you down to the ocean’s ground. Experience a 74,14
minutes lasting Tech House feeling similar to the rapture
of the deep. Wisely built and perfectly mixed, this CD develops
a breathtaking organic flow that other compilations too often
promise but always break. A flow that brings together13 different
coloured underwater bubbles until they touch each other and
blend into a giant iridescently one. Beginning with the latest
tunes from Wood/Berovic/Leicher called DOWN BELOW and THE
WAVE, presenting a tasty subtle HiHat-sound melting on your
tongue like a butterscotch, followed by the ultra hypnotic
and due the huge success on Ibiza just re-released track
REZOLUTION by Pascal FEOS & Marc Miroir. The fabulous
Acid infiltrated label hits TRES O TRES and FURTHER & FURTHER
(produced with Klang Elektronik Mastermind Heiko M/S/O) are
also part of the adventure, not to forget the legendary TANZBOMBE
(DANCE BOMB) which reached top underground chart positions
all over Germany. Nicely complete rounded is the mix by Andrew
Frame’s awesome psycho baseline tune BLUE MATRIX.
We’re sure that "Details" will have a kind
of backdraft effect for all who haven’t heard LNZ tracks
before. To open this door means to be confronted with a fire
outburst that only can be controlled by owning the original
vinyl tracks. Btw: Any methods to really quench it are pretty
senseless...

Rezolution
 |
 |
Fresh Fried is a new project by Chris Wood, Nedzad Berovic
and Frank Leicher. Nedzad and Frank have already made furore
with their release on Balkon Records.
The A-side „50 Ways“ starts with an organic housegroove.
During the song a minimal melody originates, which comes to
its climax because of a clever arranged break and a pad that
sounds like the old detroit tracks. Hands up on every open
air floor !
The B-side includes the titel „On My Mind“ in two
different versions:
Chris b1 version shows us how deep beats and tricky vocals
can work together, and comes after a short break with a warm
baseline to a house appeal that stayes in your mind...
The version from Berovic & Leicher is a little bit harder
and more minimal. Because of nice arranged beats and the drifting
baseline this track has to be played at the clubs ! |

LNZ 12. Andrew Frame
 |
 |
With Andrew Frame we are happy to welcome a new face at Level
Non Zero. He became famous because of his releases on PV, Planet
Vision, Elektrolux and Phono Elements (Azur Taint). On LNZ
he demonstrates once more his longtime and versatile production
experiences.
The A – side „Blue Matrix“ shows up with an experienced teamwork
of a sequence and the atmosphere together with a ping pong baseline which drills
into your head and finds its climax in a break with SciFi sounds.
More than just a good dj tool ! Hands Up !
„Ambervision“ on the flip side gets its face from a discreet melody
which flyes over the baseline and the mood thru the room. A nice tune for early
morning sessions ! |

Synaptic Remixes
 |
 |
Before we close the album „Synaptic“ by Pascal
FEOS, we have some remixes for you: On the a-side Oliver Klein
brings us the dub-version from " Bring
the Beat Back“. He is not working towards a break and
the following climax, but he creates a walkthrou of the beat
and the sequence during the whole track in a hypnotic way.
On the flipside Good Groove and Yapacc add a vocal sampel to
there version of "Ausklang" and let a raw bassline
climb up to its climax. Because of this an oldschool feeling
rises which reminds of dark cellars and flashing strobos. The
EcleSonde mix of "Out Of My Head" plays with
the different sounds over and over again. Because of this he
creates a special groove.
A dub mix par excellence. |

LNZ 09. Mihai Popoviciu -
First Contact
 |
 |
We are happy to presnt a new artist on Level Non Zero: Mihai
Popoviciu (Romania). After his first single for International
Gigolo Records and some smaller releases, this is Mihais first
EP in 2007.
On the A-side „First Contact“ he starts the other
way round. The sequence bores This time the sequence reaches
the head before an undulating Bassline arrives. Then in the
perfect teamwork, nobody could stand still.
With B1 "Capcana" the sequence and the Bassline are
running at the same time, and will be differently modulated
over and over again.
B2 "Sharp" is based on a rhythmical grooving which
develops later with a sequence on his side to a perfect hypnosis. |

LNZ 08. Chris Wood -
The Guns Are Loaded EP
 |
 |
After the successful releases "Desire", "Seis
O Seis" and the remix of "Trigger", Level Non
Zero presents the first EP of label employee Chris Wood. By
his long-standing dj's experience in clubs like RobertJohnson
Offenbach, Monza Frankfurt & Ibiza, HarryKlein Munich etc.
he knows exactly what the dancers expect:
"Steam Train" is dominated clearly by a psycho-active sequence. Just
before the break the dancers gets animated to freak out by the perfectly used
effects and the changing groove.
On the B-side there are also two functional tracks, which represent the Level
Non Zero sound perfectly.
"Trooper" is based on a forcing groove, which gains speed, until it
collapses in the break.
Stand up and go on! A warm woman's voice and laidback sounds round the EP with
the track "MellowTron" which will ecstasice the dancers in the early
morning hours. |
. . .
LNZ 07. Björn Wilke -
R U Ready Ralph? Remixes
 |
 |
Up
to now Level Non Zero was left for Pascal FEOS and Chris Wood,
nevertheless, for the seventh catalogue number Pascal fished
in foreign waters.
On the fishing rod hangs Björn Wilke and his suggestive
track R U Ready Ralph?
In the Pascal FEOS treatment the spoken Vocals go hand in hand
with one of these irresistible FEOS Grooves to mark the break
later. R U Ready?
Hypnotically, percussive Techno for the later hours...
On the B-side the American producer Sean O`Neil alias Someone
Else goes a more minimal style. He cuts the Vocals, provide
them with delay and other effects and let them circle around
a stumping groove. |

LNZ06-6
Ausklang / Stargazer / Mr F
 |
 |
If
someone had to describe the sixth release from Pascal FEOS
album "Synaptic" with one word, "Bassline" would
be the one that fits.
The A side "Ausklang" is dominated by a sawtooth "Bassline" which
modulates more and more to reach her climax shortly before
the break.
The B page "Stargazer" begins with a techno groove
to change later by a charmingly lascivious "Bassline" into
a nice floating tune. |

LNZ06-5
Bring The Beat Back / Chemo Sensor
 |
 |
The
fifth release from the album "Synaptic" shows Pascal
FEOS once more from his hypnotic techno side. "Bring the
beat back" rises hypnotically, lightly dubbed and leads
into an epic break, where a manipulated Vocoder Voice requires "Bring
it back”. Pascal corresponds to that desire and saves
the dancefloor with the reinstating beat. “Peaktime Entertainment
par Excellence”
The Backside is held far more compactly. No need for vocals
and an epic break makes “Chemo Sensor” one of those
valuable tracks to work up to a climax and initiates with it´s
perfect groove the crowd to dance. |

LNZ06-4 Pascal FEOS -
Can't get enough / Sunset
 |
 |
As
the first 3 maxi-releases of Pascal FEOS`s album "Synaptic" were
focused on a hypnotic and percussive style, the 4th forthcoming
release "Sunset" is an amazing new variation of
his sound!
"Sunset" seems to be one of those "detroit-influenced
rays", as they`re well-known being played at the end
of Pascal`s famous after-hour-dj sets. That`s the reason
why "Sunset" with it`s warmness is the final track
on the FEOS "Synaptic" album (cd-version) and makes
the whole thing complete. You will be carried into the sunset
by the smooth and perfectly integrated melody..
In contrast to this "Can`t Get Enough" is an ingenious
produced dub track as it`s best. It works up to the middle
and unloads irresistibly in a percussive bass. |

LNZ06-3 Pascal FEOS -
Timeless / Out of my Head / The Key
 |
 |
The
third singlerelease of Pascal FEOS's new album "Synaptic"
includes the two tracks "Out Of My Head" and "Timeless" and
in addition a yet unreleased track called "The Key."
"Timeless"
The name of the track stands for itself.
Pascal combines Techno and Soul which hits the momentum of
our time perfectly - but still overcoming space and time with
his unmistakable feeling for sound. You can feel the funky
bits throughout the whole track – discharging the pent
up energy at its climax in the middle of the track through
filtered and modulated chords at the break.
"Out Of My Head"
This is the result of a long lasting cooperation and friendship
with the well known swiss Djane Manon. Pascals very own style
meets Manons conception and idea of Techhouse. They combine
Pascals deep grooving acidlines with Manons understanding for
minimalistic melodies. The outcome of those two highly experienced
artists is a symbiosis that neither leaves your heart untouched
nor makes it possible to leave your legs off of the dancefloor.
"The Key"
The track excels in a unique organic
structure with deep humming percussions whose tubing character
won´t let you go and will surely leave you under Pascal's
spell. |

LNZ06-2 Pascal FEOS -
Brooklyn Style / Synaptic
 |
 |
The
second release from the "Synaptic" lp, reflexes
Pascal's focus on techno resp. techhouse. The track "Brooklyn
Style" creates a dynamic base because of his minimal-bass-
groove, which gets rounded by the perfect set in of the 303.
"Synaptic" reflects compressed Pascal's interpretation
of his album.
The minimal but very driving beat develops thru the perfect
input of a sawtooth to a track, which nobody can resist on
the dancefloor ! |

LNZ06-1 Pascal FEOS -
Impulse / Tanzbombe (Robag Wruhme)
 |
 |
After Pascal
Feos’s last LNZ 005 his
first single release of the new album “synaptic” (coming
out 21. April 2006) will hit the streets.
The producer and DJ Pascal Feos impressively shows with his first of altogether 6
vinyl single releases in which musical direction the album “synaptic” goes.
“Impulse” is a minimal-programmed track which in
the beginning grooves by the extraordinary sounds and effects. The track rises
more and more until a break, where the accumulated power merges into the great
final.
You won’t find a B-side on the AA-side, at all! No less
than the producer and remixer of the moment, Robag Wruhme aka Wighnomy
Brothers arouses our enthusiasm with excellent produced sounds of first-class
quality.
Robag Wruhme reproduced the “Tanzbombe” which gets
us going! Perfectly structured minimal sound meets atmosphere and sensitivity
which transport its pressure on the dance floor for sure!
Totally 12 tracks of the album will be released monthly
as a “musical episode” on 6
separate vinyl maxi releases – beginning:
12 April 2006. As a special, the 6 covers, put together
at the end of the episode, will form one poster showing the
complete artwork!

Pascal FEOS - synaptic (LP)
 |
 |
Three
years after Pascal FEOS released the album “Self
Reflexion” on PV Records, the time has come for a new
repositioning. His new album will be released on Level
Non Zero, where the “Tanzbombe-
EP ” was released successfully last year.
It was very important for the perfectionist not to walk on the promising and
secure path of club music between elektroclash-nostalgia and eccentric “beats
and clicks”.
Of course the “G-Tone” Acid has a history in connection
with the Chicago House in the end of the eighties. And the modulations of “Ausklang” will
remind the one or another of the Acid in the nineties. But what comes first for
Pascal: “Synaptic” is to be understood as a homage
for Techno/Techhouse of the year 2006. It is an album which conjures-up the groove
in the most hypnotizing and mysterious way ever produced in Pascal’s studio.
“The best description for Synaptic could be “Hypnotic
Mind Music”. It was very important for me not producing sounds which are
much too detailed and complicated”; Pascal outlines the focus of his production
of the last 12 months. Even though Pascal’s album includes tracks, which
will be definitely touted for the hottest night-hymns of this year:
The title track “Synaptic”, an uplifting-hysteric
Techtrack, the reduced bass impulses of “Brooklyn Style”,
subtle percussive subsonic-bass dub as “Can’t get enough” or “Bring
The Beat Back” and last but not least “Out Of My
Head”, the result of a cooperation with the Swiss top-Djane
Manon Abenojar-Maeder.
Moreover the album includes a remix version of “Tanzbombe” made
by the superb producer Robag Wruhme aka Wighnomy Brothers.
Of course Pascal insisted to present the 14 tracks of the CD version in
a consistent and fluent mix – you can count on him!
Additionally 12 tracks of the album will be released monthly as a “musical
episode” on 6 separate vinyl maxi releases – beginning:
12 April 2006. As a special, the 6 covers, put together at the end of
the episode, will form one poster showing the complete artwork.
With Synaptic Pascal FEOS shows impressively that the journey for inspiring electronic
music will not end a long shot.

OMY 02 "I Can Feel That" RMX -
Speedy j / Robag Wruhme / Gogo
 |
 |
Omychron Recordings' second release consequently follows the quality of the first. Yet again, this release shows the track "I Can Feel That" (1999, Pascal FEOS) being remixed by state-of-the-art producers.
Speedy J presents his second interpretation which in no way ranks behind the first.
Robag Wruhme's Kisslekk Rekks Mix starts with the typical clicky and frisky style; a soulful break then unveals what could definitely become the absolute smashhit.
Dj Gogo sticks more to the roots giving the 1999 feel its revival.

OMY 01 "I Can Feel That" RMX -
Speedy j / Tony Rohr / Robag Wruhme
 |
 |
Following the great success of LevelNonZero Recordings, Pascal FEOS starts up a further innovative Label, directed solely by himself: Omychron Recordings.
His wish is to furthermore offer a new platform for elegant groovy techno. For this purpose his 1999 production "I can feel that" was remixed by several producers. To kick off the label at top-level, he was able to attract the artists Speedy J, Tony Rohr, and Robag Wruhmes aka Wighnomy Brothers for the first two releases.
Speedy J's first mix reflects the qualities of one of the big Techno producers. Fascinating the listener withits dynamic character: this could be a real hit!
Tony Rohr`s mix is click Techno at its best, just the way we know and expect from him: absolutely dance floor compatible. |

AURAL FLOAT | BEAUTIFUL SOMEDAY
 |
 |
Five years after the last album ‘Freefloat’ and 10 years after the first album ‘Introspectives’, the beginning of the all-time success story of their Elektrolux label, Alex Azary, Gabriel Le Mar and Pascal FEOS now deliver their new Aural Float Album ‘Beautiful Someday’. And, by the way, having significantly influenced Ambient und Chillout along with soulmates like The Orb or Pete Namlook in a way still defining the aesthetics of the genre today. Is there a more suitable coronation for the 10th Elektrolux anniversary as this long overdue sign of life of the probably most renowned German Chillout formation? A lot could be told about Aural Float, this ‘Supergroup’ of electronic music. After all, Azary, Le Mar and FEOS are constitutive pioneers of electronic music as single protagonists as well. Their names stand for cutting-edge and ambitious sound design. Pascal FEOS e.g. can look back on a DJ carreer of more than 20 years, but also considerably influenced German Techno culture by his productions for his PV label, and especially by his Sonic Infusion and Resistance D. projects. Gabriel Le Mar has produced countless albums, e.g. for Spirit Zone, Blue Room and Superstition, where he always managed to blend the borders between Dub, Downbeat, Ambient, Trance and Techno in a most pleasant way. And as the former sales excutive of AMV, DJ, club and event manager and, last but not least, as visionary motor of his Elektrolux label and the groundbreaking TV formats SPACE NIGHT and FLOWMOTION, Alex Azary plays an important role in the history of electronic music.
On the other hand, you don´t have to look back into the past, because Aural Float have to tell a lot here and today as well. Their third album ‘Beautiful Someday’ strikes surprising new paths, particularly with the increased use of vocals by Kim Sanders, Nada Nadia Vagioka and Catenia Quentin. To Aural Float, Ambient definitely means more than mere escapism to mellow spheres, but stands for an organic consensus between Pop Music and Chillout never been heard in such a perfect visionary power (‘How Deep’, ‘Him & Her’, ‘Still Here’) before. Having gathered lots of experience in all this time, Aural Float, in an almost playful easiness, present the way from the experimental search of the beginning to a clearly structured high-end version of sensual cutting-edge Pop Music. Nevertheless, the system always stays open enough to e.g. allow a winking cross reference to their impressionistic Ambient Trance past by epic tracks like ‘Dreamer´s Dream’ or ‘Gone Forever’. This is Electronic Listening Music 2005!
Additional to the CD release of ‘Beautiful Someday’ comes a DVD issue where the tracks of the album are interpreted by various video artists. The DVD is produced and released in cooperation with corbis motion, one of the world´s most renowned picture and film agencies.

PV 073 | Kai Randy Michel
 |
 |
This time Kai presents himself as a dreamcatcher. Using a cutting hi-hat, a couple of deep intuitive bass reflexes, joined by various echoed synthes that he mends around that small piece of brain that carries the animalistic substance which lets us all fall into a deeper form of trance. Kai shows his talent to trim a broadband of percussion, each as they are, to a climax without really finding a stop. His newest creation also shows in which experimental manner he still explores the dancefloor.
|
. . .
PV 072 | Garry Trace & Mike Tales
 |
 |
The inspiration for this must have came through a dream. Phase controlled hihats in the echostream of synthetic sirens create a timewarp simulation where no man has gone before. A backward turning bass wobbers directly into the outskirts of the brain. The beats don’t leave you much time to think about this journey coming to an end. You don’t even want to look forward to it.
A masterly staged progressiv juwel, heating a 1000 Ton locomotiv that pulls various sounds that gain weight after each break. Everybody would like to catch a ride on those hi-hats that roll through the room but are impossilbe to keep up with.
Beware: Everytime a neurose wakesup to grab a poor soul, its fault could be found in this recording. The sounds arise traumatically up and niether, grabbing a hold of the brain windings and hardly find a way out. Only the realty of the sensible claphits brings you back in line.

New releases on LNZ:
LNZ04 Analogie - tres o tres / seis o seis
 |
 |
The fourth upcoming release on Level Non Zero is once more a successful
collaboration of Pascal FEOS and Chris Wood.
Pascal's "dream of analogy" is becoming reality:
The A site combines old elements with a form of new age production.
The track's minimal structure and it's "hypnotizing" characteristics just fascinates,
and won't let go the audience.
The B site is Chris Wood's second own production on Level Non Zero.
Similar to his first release (Desire), Chris Wood's instinct for progressive
sounds makes him combine old school with new age elements in one track.

A: tres o tres
B: seis o seis

LNZ03 Pascal FEOS - Tanzbombe
 |
 |
With its third release Level Non Zero presents Pascal FEOS' first solo
production. The A-Side shows more of Pascal's 'tech'- rather than his
'house'-line and delivers us a track in absolutely typical 'FEOS'-style.
The B-Side moreover reflects his experimental motivation. Extravagant
sounds and an extraordinary arrangement underline the track's effect
without leaving the dancefloor at all.
Quotation Raveline:
'It's a real bomb!' Deep like a phono-elements-release, but increasingly
techno-dance-compatibly constructed, with beamy deep bass drums, that roll
together almost like electro-snails, sharp-edged soundfragmental gadgets,
that spread out splintering, combined with a really nasty synth-hook, that
smoulders around at ground level, and finally a step-pattern that ticks
like a time fuse. Well, this is FEOS' construction plan for a time bomb
2004 - and it works. No doubt! Put it on and duck, because the party crowd,
too will explode. No doubt at all: 6 points by mat.cat.'
Tracks:
A1: Tanzbombe
B1: aphex & intellekt

LNZ02 Pascal FEOS - Trigger
 |
 |
With his second release, Producer and DJ Pascal FEOS interprets Techhouse in a very determined manner. As proven on the last release, Pascals passion for the fine stylistic Detroit and Chicago Sound continuous throughout the record. Like on the first Level Non-Zero release, Chris Wood rocks big time on the AA- track with a re-edit of Trigger. The minimalistic Techhousesound totally measures up to his style as a DJ.
Tracks:
A1: Trigger
B1: Trigger (Chris Wood Re-Edit) |

LNZ01 SWS - Desire
 |
 |
Inspired by the latest musical developments, Pascal FEOS is celebrating his new label Level Non-Zero Recordings. The multi-faceted label will move across techhouse orientation through to Electro-Tech without loosing track of Dancefloor. The first release represents a cooperation of three producers, Chris Wood, Michael Schidlo, and Thorsten Schneider, who are moving on Pascal Feos new production grounds. The title "Desire" was developed in close collaboration with the singer, Johanna Thielemann. LNZs fist release includes a Re-Edit by Chris Wood and is supported by a Pascal FEOS-Treatment.

Pascal FEOS – The new label "LevelNonZero" (LNZ) ...

PV 071 | Pascal FEOS
 |
 |
Pascal Feos slight mystical Progressive stomper “Marco Cannata “Stream Electric” just waited for these guys to be remixed. Nobody has to introduce Marco anymore, his skills have already flattend the rocky way of future success. Together with the Progressor Atilla Jahanvash, he lately brought out a longplayer and was already crowned together with Peter Haubfleisch “Fresh Moods” for his act “Ultratubes” on PV-Records. The a-side reflects the master degree of Marco Cannata and the phantasized idees of Atilla Jahanvash. A deep running bassline acompanied by temperated congas and hynotic spiral sounds grow all through this projekt, creating a rare atmosphere. Dirk Diggler is the perfekt nickname that Andreas Mügge suited himself, telling us all of his musical potenz. There are only a few acts out there, that are spotted on famous playlists and Andreas “Diggler” Mügge is one of them. “A Split Second” lines up in the production chain of this Tech-House constructor. Classical “out door“ - music, spectral spheres open before your eyes and force you to dream. But don't forget: buckle up! |

PV 070 | Marc Miroir
 |
 |
With his third record on PV-Records, Marc Miroir convinces the audience once again. As a passionated turntabler at the Airport in würzburg, he knows exactly what the masses want and already electrified with “Electronic Bubbles“ and “The Real Estate EP“. As a DJ, he has already been voted into the top 20 of a national survey in Germany (Groove Magazine). The newest release comes as an EP with three new tracks. “Plastic Soul“ was co-produced by Kai Randy Michel alias Azure Taint (Elektrolux) and holds the promise to be serious and danceable. Hypnostatik could be the one word, that describes plastic Soul at best, hynoticle Bounce, onswelling Statik bursting out in Rythmic Intervalls. The Hi-hat leads, only to be cut by the Snare. Being almost Oldschool, this outtake combines new with old elements, making it an alltime playable Club Record. |
. . .
PV 069 | Pascal FEOS
 |
 |
A-Side
A Deepdish by Kowalski, whose invitation to dance is a must. Voodoo Antidope is ineffective against the rhythms which fascinate from the beginning to the end. Dark voices shove the spheres aside and a perfectly detailed programming provides that they dominate the monotony. The rise of the new PV- Records #69 does not lead into a new magic era but the constellation of P.FEOS/A.Kauffelt/A.Kowalski is another proof for their proficiency and predicts that people with a weak cardiovascular system rather should stay away from dancing. One can hardly imagine a world without these beats and it is said that a long time ago people managed to live without them …
B-Side
"Self Reflexion" was already a hit for the Prophet of Techno, Pascal FEOS. This time Andreas Kauffelt and Alexander Kowalski had their try over this to prove that motion is a motor of evolution. A progressive kickdown by Kauffelt which – without fail - squeezes even the last drop of winter out of the body and whips the neural network electrically. As usual, he slammes through the introduction raising a storm of sweat, passion and vitesse, punctuated by breaks only in order to give a chance to take a breathe while dancing. The History making veteran, Andreas Kauffelt, who has already released countless tracks with dozens of Hits, just seems to get started, as he points out with “Das Akustische Labyrinth”.

PV 068 | Pascal FEOS
 |
 |
Beginning of last year, Pascal Feos released his highly acclaimed second
Album, entitled Self Reflexion. Now his PV Imprint releases the first twelve
inch with Remixes of "Backed Flash" by Steve Bug and the Titletrack "Self
Reflexion" by Jean F. Cochois (aka The Timewriter). Both Mixes perfectly
reflect the House Vibe in Pascal's productions. With their emotional
approach to the original tunes, both producers created more than just
another remix. Steve Bug delivers a slowly building deep tech house tune
which turns into an almost euphoric crowdmover. The Jean F. Cochois Mix on
the flipside is a deep and thriving tribal stomper with hypnotic voices and
is destined to be played by all major house djs worldwide. |
. . .
PV 067 | Sven Dedek & Alex Bau (not yet released)
 |
 |
When PV Records was set up in 1996 by Pascal FEOS as an offspring of the previously founded Planet Vision label it soon became clear, that PV is will be dedicated to FEOS' DJ demands, skills and experiences and that the label would therefore be an outlet for high quality progressive rhythmic techno. And it is exactly this particular philosophy that can be found in the "Atmojunk"-12" at hands, created by Sven Dedek and Alex Bau. To the PV team, producer Dedek is no stranger at all: with his "Sine" release (PV049), this south German studio wizard already showed convincing skills. Today, together with partner Alex Bau, he presents another of his outstanding works on "Atmojunk". Here you got a hypnotic deep crowd mover, powered by an imperative hi-hat and full of tight effects to lock every dancefloor down within seconds. The flipside is ruled by tough beats, driving hi-hats and majestic breaks, which makes "Atmofear" another floorfiller of highest quality. Play it loud! |

PV 066 | Tim Xavier & Walé Taiwo (released)
 |
 |
With catalogue number 66, PV - Records is pleased to announce a new project in the label stable: Tim Xavier and Walé Taiwo. Their strong debut definitely marks a highlight in the recent label history. "Theater of Sound" is bass-laden, driving techno with lots of tricky little breaks and effects which takes no prisoners and aims directly for your stomach area! This one is destined to be played down by all the usual suspects in the worldwide techno business. A very own, irresistible production style that that is destined to cause devastation in all the right places. This strong premier is sublimated by the label mastermind Pscal FEOS himself - and, of course, his "FEOS Treatment" needs no further comment. Listen! |

PV 065 | Droid Inc.
 |
 |
Constant followers of the actual happenings in music will probably already be most familiar with the names behind the new 'Droid Inc.' alias. The duo of Gregor Trescher/Murat Böyük Pilavci has recently gathered lots of credits with their impressive Sniper Mode & MBP longplayer "Travellers Beyond" on Mikrolux. With "Dirty Neonlights", the cooperation between these two exceptional producers has now even brought more valuable treasures to light. Significantly more technoid sounding than their debut album, Trescher/Pilavci on this release manage to convince their audience on with a true understanding of dancefloor needs. Boasting of energy and dirty basslines, their techno premiere on PV Records is nothing but a real killer tune. This outstanding work is accompanied with some stong remixes by Attilio Messina and Patrick Lindsey on the flipside. Special attention should be put onto the "Voodooamt" treatment by Lindsey which most definetely will cause havoc in clubs worldwide. |

Pascal FEOS
"Rize and Fall"
(Cocoon Compilation)
Being in business for 19 years now, Pascal FEOS is an important figure at the decks. His sense for the right sound in the right club and his openhearted character make him one of the most recommended DJ, Producer and Remixer.
Rize and Fall reflects the philosophy behind Cocoon as Pascal understands it: showing the music like it is, illustrating its power and passion and just let it speak for itself.
According to the great violin player Yehudi Menuhin (1916 - 1999), who said: "Music speaks for itself - provided that we give it a chance!"
Pascal FEOS "Rize and Fall" will be released on September 24th 2003 and is distributed exclusively by Intergroove Germany.

Out now: The second Solo-Album of Pascal FEOS
Self Reflexion
With his now appearing new album 'Self Reflexion', we see the second
longplayer release of Pascal FEOS For the many fans and lovers of
his music, its been a long time waiting: more than three years have
passed since his last album but, of course, the steadily growing number
of his supporters kept following closely on Pascals many releases on
labels such as PV, PlanetVision, Phono Elements, Elektrolux and his
outstanding remixes. While following his work over the past years, it
becomes very obvious that Pascal has managed to make his very own style
more and more perfect - just to finally reach a level of perfection
which makes it possible to recognize a single FEOS production out
of hundred other productions. It almost feels as if the sounds and basslines
that slip out of the speakers are writing his name into the vibrating
air. What the name Pascal FEOS is representing today, is nothing
less than a real trademark sound.
Pascal has devoted more than seventeen years of his life to electronic
music and during that time, he has always stayed true to his roots.
Today, these roots are still one of the most important points of reference
in his musical universe. When talking about roots, one has to think
of memories of the very first encounters with electronic dance music,
of favourite records, of unforgotten moments on the dance floor. In
the history of Pascals life, there is not much that has inspired him
more than these experiences.
While working on 'Self Reflexion', Pascal FEOS has made a musical
journey back into the time of these experiences, he has re-animated
his memories and he let the spirit of the first days of dance music
pass before his inner eye. Yet, one should be careful with drawing fast
conclusions from this fact. 'Self Reflexion' is nothing like backwards
facing a retro album - quite the opposite: what makes the twelve tracks
on this album extra-ordinairily special is the delicate liason of state-of-the-art-production
quality and the historic component which is integrated very sensitively
into the tracks. Living in Pascal's unique production style, which makes
maximum use of what is technically possible today, there is an incredible
amount of carefully chosen quotes from an ancient time that come to
new life and new shine in his music. Again and again, vibes and moods
from Chicago house and Detroit techno show up in between of his skillful
compositions, just to disappear again and to make room for a new generation
of dance music. Here you can feel a hint of 'Mr. Fingers' Larry Heard,
there is a NuGroove-typical bassline or a slighty teasing reminiscence
of Ron Trent. And only if you don't miss to pay exact attention to Pascals
way of working with bass and bass lines, you are able to understand
the true depth of his relationship with music. Listening to 'Self Reflexion',
its almost possible to see Pascals shiny and dreamy eyes while he is
thinking of the oldest heroes in dance music. This album definetely
reflects a very personal love.
The sum of what Pascal FEOS is offering with 'Self Reflexion', has
already now to be considered as one of the most outstanding releases
of the year - and it is very clear that over the course of time, the
full impact of this remarkable work is yet to be discovered. An alliance
of star producer has worked with him on several tracks of the album,
among them much respected names like Anthony Rother, Peter Haubfleisch
(Fresh Moods), Attilio Messina or Gabriel Le Mar. 'Self Reflexion' is
bound to connect with the success of its highly acclaimed predecessor
which was pointed out by most international players. With 'Self Reflexion',
Pascal is collecting the fruits of his personal philosophy which he
has strictly followed for many years. In this philosophy, nothing is
more important than to know your business, to be able to work with the
equipment in your studio by yourself, to fully understand the needs
of the dancefloor and to never forget about these needs when being in
the studio. 'Self Reflexion' is one of the most impressive proofs for
what an artist is able to reach with consistence and dedication.
